I just watched a video for my Family Relations class about fertility rates and population growth. I wanted to do a little casual research myself among my friends and family. I would like to start a discussion on here about how many children families should have, if they should have any, etc. So post a comment with answers to the following:
1. How many siblings do you have?
2. Do you want to have kids? Why or Why not?
3. How many children do you want to have?
1. I have four siblings.
ReplyDelete2. I do want to have children. They are part of having an eternal family. I am lucky enough to have the knowledge and resources to provide them what they will need for positive development.
3. I want to have around five children!
1. I have 3 siblings.
ReplyDelete2. I would love to have kids! I believe that one of my purposes in life is to give God's children a chance to live on this Earth. I also believe in the commandment to multiply and replenish the earth and I have made covenants to obey that commandment. Also, I love children and am so excited to have the opportunity to raise some!
3: I really want to have 5, my husband wants anywhere from 3 to 8 so I guess we'll see what happens!
1. I have two sisters. One older and one younger.
ReplyDelete2. Yes, I want to have kids! I cannot WAIT to be a mother someday.
3. 4 or 5
1. I have 1 brother and 9 sisters
ReplyDelete2. Yes! First, because I believe that parenthood will be the best preparation for my eternal capabilities. Second, because I believe it is God's will that I bring children to this Earth that they might progress. And third, I believe opportunities I have been given become responsibilities to bless the lives of others, especially my own children.
3. I do not have a set amount because I don't have a wife to discuss it with nor am I in a circumstance where revelation is required.
We should ask people these questions that aren't Mormon or conservative.
ReplyDeletebe careful what you wish for! =)
ReplyDelete1. 2 siblings, both younger =)
2. I DO want kids, eventually. for a while that was what I wanted more than anything, was to be a wife and a mother. I had to come to terms with the fact that maybe God has a different plan for me. =) so I gave those desires to Him, and He called me to be a missionary! =) since then, I've realized that I am not at all ready to be a parent at the present time, but if He sees fit to bless me with a lovely husband and children someday, it will be at EXACTLY the right time. whether I'm able to have biological children or not, I will definitely adopt!!
3. as for the number...that depends on how many He gives me =) I'd love to have one biologically and adopt lots more...it could be anywhere from two to twenty =) I feel like adoption is the way to go nowadays, with all the children out there who are in need of loving families. to bring a bunch more into the world without regards to the ones we already have seems a little irresponsible to me, but I will never criticize someone for having lots of kids. that's how many God gave them, and it's a blessing. =)
...the end. =)
Anna? haha.
ReplyDeletegood guess miss Kay tee! ;)
Delete1. How many siblings do you have?
ReplyDeleteI have four siblings, two brother and two sister, so in total five.
2. Do you want to have kids? Why or Why not?
3. How many children do you want to have?
I really don't know how many children I'd like to have, growing up I've thought that anywhere from four to six children would be best. I'm now more flexible but I know I'd like to have no fewer than three. As I've got older (and being the youngest) I've seen most of my siblings marry and beginning to fill their families with children. It has been an amazing and learning experience. I love children and the joy they bring to life. It's amazing to see how wonderful my siblings do as parents, it's also amazing to see how they use their own unique ways of parenting. I'm excited to have children, that doesn't mean it doesn't scare me to death but when the time is right It will be a great difficult and fulfilling experience.
